Many of the distinguished speakers from this webinar will also be attending MESOT 2025. If you’ll be there, take a moment to introduce yourself, share ideas, and continue the conversations started here. Events like MESOT are a wonderful opportunity to connect with colleagues and build collaborations that advance transplantation across the region.
Be sure to say hello to Marcelle McPhaden (TTS Executive Director), who will also be in attendance — she’s looking forward to meeting many of you in person!
Many TTS, and IPTA, members were present to share their expertise, including John Fung, Nadey Hakim, Fadi Issa, Camille Kotton, Germaine Wong, Curie Ahn, Robert Montgomery and Rizky Indrameikha Sugianto, Katherine Twombley and Haley Gans.
In addition to recent scientifical and clinical developments, including highlighting use of the TTS CMV Guidelines, a session on Global Insights in Organ Donation and Transplantation (ODT) provided insights on systems and developments in Asia, Europe, Brazil, India, UAE, USA. As well gender equity discussions took place with TTS’ WIT initiative being highlighted.
The STALyC Transplant Meeting opened in Asunción, Paraguay with an inspiring ceremony that brought together many of the region’s foremost leaders in transplantation. The event set the tone for meaningful collaboration among clinicians, scientists, and policymakers across Latin America and the Caribbean — all united by a shared commitment to advancing the science, ethics, and impact of organ and tissue transplantation.
